School-Based Behavioral Health Program
The School-Based Behavioral Health Program is a collaborative effort between CMS, Mecklenburg county and private mental health agencies that expands the continuum of mental health services available to our students. The program vision is to increase the availability of evidence-based mental health services for the purpose of improving student’s emotional well-being and enhancing their ability to access and benefit from instruction. These services supplement the work already being done by CMS student services staff. This program is different from previous agency-provided services because of a results driven focus, the expectation for collaborative support between the district and agencies, and well as the provision of non-billable services by agencies to the schools they serve.
